The pH value of a bath is of special importance. It should be definitely higher than the pH value of the blood (7.37-7.43). A pH value of 8 is good, but 8.5 - 9 is optimal. Only a sufficient difference between the pH value of the blood and the bath water can stimulate excretion processes. This is the law of osmosis. Alkaline bath water contains all the 84 elements which form our bodies. These elements will be rich in energy. The body not only excretes substances whilst bathing, it can also absorb substances.

Brine Baths
Fresh water causes the moisture-grease layer of the skin to swell. In the bath much is washed away. The outcome is that large amounts of water evaporate through the skin and cause dehydration. Brine baths prevent fast drying of the skin, because the salt water is deposited directly in the outer layer. The 'protection layer' consisting of water and grease is not damaged. Alkaline baths stimulate the sebaceous glands to produce a protective lubrication coat for the skin.
Brine baths also stimulate the metabolism.
