In the 1800's a man named Joseph Meyer from Nebraska USA, learned about Kansas Root from the indigenous people of America who used it for wounds, snake bites and colds. Mr Meyer formulated a a tincture using the root and sold it far and wide, making himself very famous.

 

Echinacea (Echinacea augustifolia) is a well known anti infective.
