What is Essential Oil of Cloves?
Dried clove buds, either whole or ground, have been used in cuisine for millennia. The clove plant originated in India and is now grown in several places around the world. Cloves are highly favoured for their strong aroma.
What does Clove Oil do?
Aside from culinary use, syzgium aromatica oil is extracted from the flower bud to treat several conditions. The use of clove oil in this way dates back to ancient India and China. The Chinese used cloves for the treatment of hernia, diarrhoea and bronchitis. Traditionally, clove was used for intestinal parasites, skin infections, digestive problems and toothache.
Clove oil can be applied topically - heavily diluted in a carrier base - to reap the following benefits:

• Relieve toothache and other pain
• Improve blood circulation to the skin.
