What is Citric Acid?
Citric Acid is a white crystalline powder.
It is thought to have been discovered in the 8th Century by Persian alchemist Jabir Ibn Hayyan.
What does Citric Acid do?
It can be used for bath bombs, as a limescale removed in kettles, added to elderflower cordial, as a preservative, in sterilisers and more.
We supply food grade Citric Acid monohydrate because it is recommended as an ideal material to rinse hair after washing, and is solvent free.
Hair Rinse Recipe:
After washing your hair, mix ¼ teaspoon of Citric Acid monohydrate with 1 pint of water and stir well. Use the solution to carefully pour over hair and then rinse out.
