The roots of the Dandelion plant are harvested carefully, cleaned, dried, cut and then gently roasted. The resulting coffee is supplied as small to medium sized pieces of root, not powder or granules.
Dandelion Coffee, also known as dandelion tea, is a great coffee substitute and caffeine free.
Use 1-2 teaspoons of Dandelion Root pieces to infuse with approx. 150ml of just boiled water for 10 minutes and drain through a sieve, or use a cafetière.
Alternatively, for instant style coffee, grind the root pieces into powder, add 1-2 teaspoons of ground dandelion coffee to a cup of hot water.
With both options add milk and sugar as required or why not try our sugar substitute, Xylitol, which tastes great and is good for your teeth and waist!
