Glucosamine is an amino sugar that is produced within the body and helps build cartilage. Health Leads uses glucosamine sulphate (glucosamine sulfate) as this form of glucosamine has been tested in many clinical trials.
Chondroitin is produced naturally in the body, is found in cartilage and acts as a shock absorber. Health Leads use a superior high quality marine chondroitin sulphate and not a cheaper bovine sourced chondroitin.
Aging reduces the ability to produce the needed glycosaminoglycans - necessary components of connective tissues required to maintain and repair cartilage and joints. Even when the body is able to produce the glycosaminoglycans, added stress due to injury or disease can cause enzymes to attack healthy cartilage or fight against the production of new cartilage in the joint.
1 capsule daily ½ hour before meals as a food supplement.
