Turmeric has an active ingredient called Curcumin which has hundreds of reported health benefits.
However, for it to be truly beneficial scientists have realised that it needs another root to help to magnify the impact. Hence we have added Black Pepper in the form of BioPerine®. BioPerine® is a patented extract obtained from black pepper fruits (Piper nigrum) standardized minimum to 95% Piperine. According to clinical reports, having BioPerine® "in the right place at the right time" in the digestive tract with a supplemented nutrient results in enhanced absorption."
Thus a recent study reported that "in the dosages used, piperine enhances the serum concentration, extent of absorption and bioavailability of curcumin . . . with no adverse effects." In fact, in one trial, it improved the absorption rate by 2000%. Our product has, in addition to Turmeric powder, added Curcumin Extract as well as BioPerine®
